The film continues production, as we look to begin shooting the segment on the Canadian National Pond Hockey Championships. The annual tournament, which hosts on two consecutive weekends to accommodate various age groups, is held in Haliburton, Ontario. Games are played during the last weekend in January, and the first weekend in February.
The film will follow along the journey of CNPHC owner, John Teljeur, as he works hard during the months leading up to winter, to prepare for a tournament that sees participants both near and far. The film will also seek to interview participating members, volunteers, and charities involved, as showcasing a grassroots-style tournament that represents Canadiana, falls in-line with the passion behind the film.
Another large segment, crews for The Hockey Film will take part in an extended shooting schedule, aimed to tell the story from start to finish. We’re excited to begin one of the final three segments remaining to be shot for the film. What better way than to be out in the elements, capturing the great game outdoors.
